Roy A. Mitchell was born Murfreesboro, TN. He graduated from Oakland High School and attended Draughons Business College in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1981 Rev. Mitchell moved to Evanston, Wyoming to continue in his field of Criminal Justice. In 1996 Rev. Mitchell moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and attended Charismatic Bible Fellowship. Later, he moved his membership to Second Baptist Church. In 1997 he accepted his call into the ministry and was licensed to preach the gospel. On April 7, 2002, Rev. Mitchell was ordained and on August 23, 2002 was selected and later installed as the pastor of Second Baptist Missionary Church.

           Rev. Mitchell is the husband of Sherry L. Mitchell from Bessemer, AL. They have two daughters; April and Stephanie and two sons,  Derrick and Mark, and five beautiful grandchildren,, Atalia, Demetri, Joey, Ben and Kaprice. 

           God has blessed us with a pastor who is a gifted orator who tells it like it is in a way people can understand and comprehend.
